Additional Arrest Made In Theft Case
The Franklin Police Department reported last week that Michael Lenear Noles
was arrested for stealing numerous items from his parents home, located within
the City of Franklin. This arrest came after Mr. and Mrs. Noles reported that
they were missing several pieces of jewelry and a firearm. After making the
report, Michael Noles confessed to his parents that he had taken the items and
sold them over a period of time. This information was relinquished to
Investigator Brooks of Franklin Police Department who interviewed Michael
Noles. During the interview he admitted to taking the items and where he sold
them.
On Thursday, June 10th, Investigator Brooks interviewed Michael Kevin
Williams, an employee of Franklin Pawn Shop, after receiving information that
he had purchased the stolen items. During the interview he admitted to
purchasing some items from Michael Noles but had failed to make an entry of
the items in the pawn shop permanent record book, which is required by state
law. Upon being asked where the jewelry was currently located, he informed
Investigator Brooks that he had sold the jewelry as scrap.
Michael Kevin Williams of 1515 Hogansville Road, LaGrange, was arrested and
charged with felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. He has since posted a
$10,000.00 bond.
Anyone with additional information pertaining to this or any other case is asked
to contact Chief Kevin Hannah or Lieutenant Tino Brooks at the Franklin Police
Department.
