Carol was born March 6, 1947 in Atlanta, GA to the late Hurchel and Leila Boggus of Franklin. She was a Christian by faith.
In 1970, Carol worked as a professional solo “buck dancer” at Muhlenbrink's Saloon in Underground Atlanta. She had the reputation of dancing faster than any piano or banjo player in the city. She was a return-to-school mom and graduated from Emory University in 1983. She was a new products development research chemist at ExxonMobil Chemical Co. for 18 years before retiring with 18 granted patents. She was fearless, kind to a fault, and loved dogs, music, and children. But ask anyone who knew her - Miss Carol didn’t suffer fools lightly.
Survivors include: her husband, Bob of Griffin, to whom she was married for 52 years son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Elizabeth Duncan, and their two sons, Connor and Zach her sister, Debbie Boggus Hays and three brothers: Steve Boggus, Jimmy Boggus, and Holly Boggus and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael.
